Port Angeles: Interim principal selected to lead high school

PORT ANGELES — An assistant principal will lead Port Angeles High School next year.

Scott Harker will become interim principal of Port Angeles High School on July 1, following the move of Michelle Reid to a Port Angeles School District position.

Reid, who served as high school principal since 2000, was named the district’s assistant superintendent for curriculum and assessment and secondary programs.

Harker has been an assistant principal at Port Angeles High School since July 2000.

Harker was selected after a review of available candidates, Schools Superintendent Gary Cohn said.

He was offered the position Friday after discussion with potential interim principal candidates.
