Peninsula’s wireless world heats up

For several lodging and coffee establishments across the North Olympic Peninsula, “hotspot” is a term with a whole new meaning.

Customers with properly equipped laptop computers who enter hotspots in Port Hadlock, Port Townsend, Sequim, Port Angeles and Forks now experience a new world of technology:

High-speed wireless Internet access.

Wireless Internet technology is commonly known today as “Wi-Fi” for personal computers and “Airport” to those with Macs.
