Peninsula College history professor to discuss newest book

Studium Generale set for 12:35 p.m. Nov. 14

PORT ANGELES — Peninsula College history professor Michael Cassella-Blackburn will discuss his recent book at the next Studium Generale, set for 12:35 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14.

The free lecture series is presented in the Little Theatre at Peninsula College, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.

Cassella-Blackburn wrote “Radical Anti-Communism in American Politics after World War II, 1945-1950: William C. Bullitt and the Campaign to Save China” during a 2018-19 sabbatical.

The book centers on how, and why, William C. Bullitt and the China Lobby used fear to radicalize anti-communism.
