NEWS BRIEFS: Port Angeles, Elwha police search for man wanted on warrant; JFFA arts camps start soon

PORT ANGELES –– City and Elwha tribal police searched the west side of Port Angeles on Sunday evening for a Native American man with a state Department of Corrections warrant out for his arrest.

Police were searching for 30-year-old Brandon Penn, though it wasn’t clear if he was positively identified in the area, said Port Angeles Police Cpl. David Dombrowski.

Dombrowski said a citizen believed they saw Penn wearing a camouflage jacket and gray shorts.

The search started near 11th Street and A Street at about 8:37 p.m. and was called off after the suspect got away near South Fairmount Avenue and U.S. Highway 101, he said.

Additional details were not available Monday.
