Rotary grant

SEQUIM — Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County has received a $7,000 community grant from Sequim Sunrise Rotary.

The money will be used for Neighborhood Revitalization of owner-occupied homes in downtown Sequim.

Each year, local Rotary clubs have an opportunity to submit a grant proposal for a project to Rotary International.

The project must serve a humanitarian need within the community, and club member participation is required.

Initially, the local club pays the expense of the project.

Sequim Sunrise Rotary raises funds for this and other service projects through its Auction Dinner, Neighborhood Flag program and member dues.

Once the project is completed, Rotary International reimburses half the grant expense.

The reimbursement provides start-up funds for next year’s grant.

For more information, contact Habitat for Humanity at www.habitatclallam.org or 360-681-6780.
