NEWS BRIEFS: “A Shared Exploration of the Second Half of Life” discussions set Thursdays in Sequim . . . and other items

SEQUIM — Author and interfaith minister George Lindamood will host “A Shared Exploration of the Second Half of Life,” a discussion group, on Thursdays from now on at the Rainshadow Coffee Roasting Co.

There’s no charge to join the group, which meets at 10 a.m. at Rainshadow, 157 W. Cedar St.

Lindamood started holding the group earlier this month on Wednesdays, and has switched to Thursdays so it can meet in the cafe’s more private back room.

Discussions explore the lessons learned, experiences and even defeats that come in the second half of life, after age 40 or so.

Lindamood’s own experiences include volunteering with AmeriCorps at Sequim Middle School, teaching English in China and playing trumpet and keyboards in local bands.

For more information about the discussion group, phone Lindamood at 360-681-3475 or email george@extraforma.com.
