PORT HADLOCK — Naval Magazine Indian Island has scheduled training exercises for today through Friday.
Training activities will take place near the installation’s main gate, which will close for a short period during the exercise. They will include boats on the water near the pier’s security barrier and the use of blank ammunition, loud sirens and bright blue flashing lights.
The public could hear announcements from the base’s loudspeaker notification system during the exercise, the Navy said in a press release.
The Navy said it conducts security exercises at installations across the world to ensure readiness and verify response procedures.
