Look for Santa's Toy and Food Fire Brigade tonight through Friday night in Sequim neighborhoods

SEQUIM — Santa’s Toy and Food Fire Brigade, aka Clallam County Fire District No. 3 and Explorer Post 1003, will visit Sequim neighborhoods to collect toys and nonperishable food items for donation to Sequim Community Aid and the Sequim Food Bank from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight (Tuesday) through Friday (Dec. 13).

Those donating a nonperishable food item or a new toy should listen for an occasional blast of fire engine sirens and Christmas music from the district’s small parade of decorated emergency equipment.

Santa Claus will ride on a 1939 antique fire engine decorated with lights, a tree and a sound system.

The travel speed will be 5-10 mph or less as district staff, volunteers and Boy Scout Explorer Scouts walk alongside giving out candy canes and collecting donations.

Donations will be collected in:

Downtown Sequim west of Sequim Avenue tonight.

In downtown Sequim east of Sequim Avenue on Wednesday

In the Emerald Highlands/Elk Creek Apartments/South Sequim Avenue area Thursday.

The southwest portion of the SunLand community from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.

Donations also will be accepted at district headquarters, 323 N. Fifth Ave., from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday.
