PORT ANGELES — A 57-year-old Lilliwaup woman was injured in a single-vehicle wreck north of Brinnon on Wednesday, the State Patrol said.
Marilyn J. Smith was heading southbound on U.S. Highway 101 when the 1998 Chevrolet Blazer she was driving went into a ditch, struck a culvert abutment, went airborne over a driveway and landed in another ditch, troopers said.
Smith was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Hospital officials did not immediately return calls Wednesday on her condition.
The wreck occurred near Milepost 304 about 2 miles north of Brinnon at 8:36 a.m. Wednesday, according to a State Patrol collision memo.
Fatigue was listed as the cause.
Smith was cited with second-degree negligent driving, the State Patrol said.
She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Drugs or alcohol were not involved, troopers said.
The four-door Blazer was totaled and impounded to All City Autobody and Towing in Port Townsend, the State Patrol said.
