Light it up! Tell us about your holiday lights and displays

Homeowners and businesses in Jefferson and Clallam counties:

Now is the time for the Peninsula Daily News’ 2007 Great North Olympic Holiday Lights Roundup!

From Brinnon and Quilcene to LaPush, Port Townsend to Port Angeles, we want to share with other PDN readers all the hard work you’ve done climbing trees, taping bulbs, putting out 15-foot tall plastic Frostys and throngs of musical reindeer (and then driving to the chiropractor).

If you’re proud of your outdoor display, please contact us.

Not only will we publish your address and information about your holiday display – we want to hear from businesses, too – but if you’ll e-mail us a photo of your house or business, that may be published as well.

One of the wonderful things about living in Jefferson and Clallam counties is taking an evening drive in December and seeing some beautifully decorated homes and businesses.

We want to tell them about yours.

So buy some extra fuses and put the kids to work, because Clallam and Jefferson residents take their Christmas displays very seriously.

Here are the three things we need:

  • Your name and address.

  • Driving directions (tell us how to get there – where you live, cross-streets, etc.).

  • Description of your outdoor holiday decorations (tell us what makes your lights and displays unique, creative, impressive, extraordinary).

  • Don’t forget to send us a photo, too.

Dusk is the best time to photograph your display.

Please put your digital camera on high-res and attach the photo as a high-resolution JPEG (350K and up) when you e-mail us your information.

Please e-mail to news@peninsuladailynews.com (please make the subject line: Holiday Lights).

Or mail to Holiday Lights, Newsroom, Peninsula Daily News, P.O. Box 1330, Port Angeles, WA 98362.
