PORT ANGELES — The League of Women Voters of Clallam County has announced that video recordings of two recent candidate forums are available on its website at www.lwvcla.org.
The recordings were made at the forums held in Forks on June 25 and in Sequim on June 27.
The forum in Forks featured for the Charter Review Commission (District 3) and for Position 5 on the Forks City Council.
The Sequim forum presented candidates for Olympic Medical Center Commission (District 1, Position 1) and for District 1 of the Charter Review Commission.
The league will present two more candidate forums before the Aug. 6 primary election.
Candidates for the District 2 of the Charter Review Commission will be featured at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 10 at the Vern Burton Center, 308 E. Fourth St.
Port Angeles City Council Position 5 and 7 candidates will be presented at 6 p.m. Monday, July 15 in the city council chambers, 321 E. Fifth St.
Forums are free and open to the public and attendees are encouraged to bring questions for the candidates.
Other candidates in attendance will be invited to introduce themselves at the end of each forum after which there will be an opportunity for one-on-one questions with all the candidates.
The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan, national organization which promotes the informed and active participation of citizens in government.
The Clallam County League regularly presents forums on local and statewide electoral races.
