Lake Crescent Lodge lights up the holiday season

OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK — The Lake Crescent Lodge held its annual Lighting of the Lodge ceremony Saturday and it included a visit from Santa.

About 250 people, mostly children, came to see Santa, who flipped the switch and bathed the outside of the lodge in holiday lights.

Santa — portrayed by lodge employee Toni Silvette — is shown here giving candy canes to Port Angeles children Cassidy Heilman, 4, and her brother Caleb Heilman, 5.
