June trials set for accused burglar Sean Della

PORT ANGELES — A pair of June trials has been set for an accused burglar who allegedly stole items from three Port Angeles businesses and tried to steal from a Sequim coffee stand over the fall and winter.

Sean Vince Della, 27, was in Clallam County Superior Court on Friday. He posted a $15,000 bail bond March 23 and is not in custody.

He is charged in a Port Angeles case with three counts of second-degree burglary and single counts of first-, second- and third-degree theft; second-degree possession of stolen property; and third-degree malicious mischief.

A trial is set for June 15 in Superior Court.

Della is accused of Port Angeles burglaries that occurred Dec. 9 at Athlete’s Choice, 215 W. First St.; Jan. 31 at Sabai Thai restaurant, 903 W. Eighth St.; and Feb. 1 at Spotlight Tanning & Apparel, 715 E. First St.

Della was arrested Feb. 1 after the owner of Spotlight Tanning & Apparel and four others tracked him to a Lauridsen Boulevard apartment.

Port Angeles police collected cellphone and surveillance videos from the businesses and clothing retrieved from Della’s apartment as evidence.

He was charged Feb. 27 after a lengthy investigation.

In the Sequim case, Della was charged Nov. 24 with second-degree attempted burglary of the White Cup Espresso, 291 W. Washington St., Sequim; possession of heroin; and making false or misleading statements to a public servant.

That case is scheduled to go to trial June 1.

Superior Court Judge George L. Wood scheduled a May 14 status hearing on both cases.
