Jefferson: Come hear the candidates this week

Candidates in three Jefferson County races square off on the issues at two forums Monday and Wednesday.
The first of the debates takes place at 7 p.m. Monday at the Point Hudson Marina Room next to the Shanghai Restaurant in Port Townsend.
A second forum is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Chimacum Grange Hall, 9521 Rhody Drive.
The forums will pair up Jefferson County Superior Court Judge candidates Craddock Verser and Joan Best.
In the District 1 race for the Port Townsend area, incumbent Dan Titterness, R-Port Port Townsend, will debate with challenger Phil Johnson, D-Port Townsend.
For the mid-county District 2 race, incumbent Glen Huntingford, R-Chimacum, will debate with challenger David Sullivan, D-Cape George.
The forums are sponsored by the weekly Port Townsend Leader. Monday’s forum will be taped and broadcast by PTTV (cable channel 48) at 7 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays.
