Four men were rescued by fellow fishermen after their 36-foot fishing boat sank Sunday night 14 miles south of Cape Flattery, the Coast Guard reported Monday.
The operator of the Missy Too radioed the Coast Guard that his boat was taking on water. A distress signal was also received from an emergency radio beacon about the same time.
An HH-60 Jayhawk helicopter from Coast Guard Group/Air Station Port Angeles and a 47-foot motor lifeboat from Coast Guard Station Neah Bay were launched at 8:12 p.m.
Crewmen from a nearby fishing vessel, Mariah Mae, pulled the men from 10-foot seas after the Missy Too sank at 8:20 p.m.
The fishermen were transferred to the Coast Guard motor lifeboat and transported safely to shore. All four were wearing survival suits.
