PORT TOWNSEND — The Fort Worden Advisory Committee is seeking applicants for two at-large positions to begin service in January.
Committee membership is for a three-year term. The deadline for receiving applications is Nov. 7.
Each applicant must submit a letter outlining specific interests and skills the person would bring to the committee. Applications can be sent to the attention of Vice Chair Pamela Adams by email at padams@cityofpt.us or by mail to: Elections, Fort Worden Advisory Committee, 200 Battery Way, Port Townsend, WA, 98368.
Finalists will be invited to interview at the Nov. 21 committee meeting.
The committee is a 16-member panel with representatives from state parks, the Fort Worden Public Development Authority, resident partners, interpretive and friends groups, and local government. There are six at-large members to represent the community.
The committee meets bi-monthly on the third Thursday of odd-numbered months at noon at Fort Worden State Park.
