PORT ANGELES — First Step Family Support Center has hired Melissa Randazzo as its new development director.
Randazzo has been the administration and marketing director of JACE the Real Estate Co. for the past four years.
She now will be in charge of First Step’s fundraising, public outreach and advocacy.
“Everyone here at First Step is really excited to have a talent as creative and dynamic as Melissa onboard,” said Nita Lynn, First Step’s executive director.
Randazzo will continue to assist in running the all-volunteer Northwest Raptor & Wildlife Center, a Sequim-based wildlife rehabilitation and rescue charity.
“It has always been my goal to be able to dedicate my work life to a nonprofit agency that helps improve the quality of life of our community,” said Randazzo, a Walla Walla native who has lived in Clallam County since 2006.
“As a woman who looks forward to raising a family in Clallam County, it is a dream-come-true to work with First Step, an organization that provides an incredible amount of services to better the lives of children and parents on the Olympic Peninsula.”
First Step, which has provided support and education services to encourage the healthy development of families in Clallam County since 1971, is at 325 E. Sixth St., Port Angeles.
