‘Festival of Lights’ in Port Townsend on Friday, Saturday

PORT TOWNSEND — The fourth annual Festival of Lights has a new location this year — the Unity Spiritual Enrichment Center, 3918 San Juan Ave.

This family-friendly gift, craft and cookie bazaar will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Admission is free.

It also offers photos with Father Christmas, tarot readings and a supervised crafts room where kids can create a variety of handmade gifts while parents shop.

The hall will be filled with handcrafted jewelry, purses, scarves, mosaic-glass candleholders, rustic wooden reindeer, dream catchers and other unique gifts.

New this year will be a selection of local hand-crafted beauty and spa products, as well as handmade origami lights.

The gifts-for-home-and-garden section returns with merchandise donated by Toland Home Garden of Port Townsend.

A professional photographer will be on hand to take photos of families and pets with Father Christmas on afternoon Friday and all day Saturday.

Festival of Lights will offer more than 2,000 freshly baked cookies for sale by the dozen and an assortment of confections.

A variety of homemade soups and hot beverages will be available for purchase.

Chair massage also will be offered.

A raffle benefiting the Port Townsend Winter Shelter offers a getaway for six, including hotel, meals and a ride to and from Edmonds on the 42-foot power yacht Serendipity.

Half the proceeds from raffle ticket sales will be donated to the Community Outreach Association Shelter Team (COAST) to assist with operating expenses for the winter shelter at the American Legion Hall.

A silent auction is planned.

Festival of Lights is sponsored by Unity of Port Townsend.
