Music and family games are on tap this weekend across the North Olympic Peninsula.
PORT ANGELES — A special Family Fun Day is set in Erickson Park on Saturday.
The city of Port Angeles Recreation Division is sponsoring the play day from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the park on Race Street, between Second and Fourth streets.
The Race of Champions, Atlantis bounce and slide, challenge course, play space, face painting, fishing game, free books and sensory bins are planned.
Hot dogs will be available $1, polish dogs for $1.50, pop for 75 cents and bottled water for $1.

Flute performance
CHIMACUM — Native American flutist R. Carlos Nakai will perform a solo concert in the Chimacum High School auditorium at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Earlier, at 11 a.m., Nakai will conduct a 90-minute workshop at Phoenix Rising, on Water Street in downtown Port Townsend.

Memory Walk
SEQUIM — The inaugural Memory Walk will be at the Sequim High School on Saturday.
Proceeds from the walk will go to the Alzheimer’s Association.

PORT TOWNSEND — The Key City Public Theatre will present “Collecting Shells: Eclectic and Haunting Stories,” on Saturday.
The PT Shorts reading series event will be at 7:30 p.m. in the Pope Marine Building, Water and Madison Streets at City Dock, in downtown Port Townsend.

Coho symphony
VICTORIA — Tobin Stokes’ newest work “Inner Harbour Overture” will have its world premier at Bayview Residences Victoria Symphony Splash on Sunday.
The an annual event attracts thousands of people each year.
Stokes visits the Inner Harbour every Sunday and listens to the sounds.
The performance Sunday will integrate sounds he has recorded as well as some live sounds in the world premiere of Inner Harbour Overture.
His new symphony begins with a tuba on the same note as the Coho ferry, B flat, “then it’s answered by a perfect fifth. . . like the opening of the Star wars theme,” Stokes told the Victoria Times Colonist.
