EYE ON THE PENINSULA: Clallam board to discuss funding for federal prisoners

Peninsula boards and commissions will discuss funding for federal prisoners, conflicts of interest and comprehensive plan updates this week.

Clallam County Commissioners

The three Clallam County commissioners will consider an agreement with the U.S. Marshals Service regarding compensation for housing federal prisoners during their weekly business meeting Tuesday.

The commissioners’ work session, at 9 a.m. Monday, will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which will start at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The commissioners also will have an executive session to evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or review the performance of a public employee during a special meeting at 1:30 p.m. Friday.

• Several resolutions appointing members to various volunteer boards and commissions.

• A resolution designating the Economic Development Council as the county’s Associate Development Organization.

• Resolution to select Nationwide Retirement Solutions as the county’s deferred compensation record keeper.

• An agreement with Global Solutions and Data Services, LLC to provide necessary training and development support for the Tyler EPL Permit System.
