The Port Townsend City Council will hear a comprehensive plan update today and refine issues for an upcoming town meeting.
The council will convene at 6:30 p.m. in its chambers at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
The city is in the process of identifying what it calls the Scope of Work and Work Program for the state Growth Management Act 2016 update that provides an opportunity for the city to address locally identified key issues.
To this end, a town meeting is tentatively scheduled for June 24 to allow the public to raise the issues.
Council members’ office hours, during which members of the public can discuss any topic, take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday in the mayor’s office at City Hall.
Other city meetings, taking place in City Hall conference rooms at 250 Madison St., are:
■ Historic Preservation Committee, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, third-floor conference room.
■ Arts Commission, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., first-floor conference room.
■ Council Information and Technology Committee, 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., third-floor conference room.
■ City Council Community Development and Land Use Committee, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, council chambers.
■ Non-Motorized Transportation Advisory Board, 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, first-floor conference room.
Jefferson County
The three Jefferson County commissioners are expected to approve Conservation Futures funding applications at a meeting today.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in commissioners’ chambers at the county courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
The item is on the consent agenda, which means it will not be discussed unless requested by a member of the public or a commissioner.
Additional items on the consent agenda include:
■ A resolution establishing a schedule for budget submissions.
■ An agreement to a change order in the Memorial Field roof rehabilitation project in the amount of $9,883.
■ An agreement to allocate $1,274,072 for motor fuel for county vehicles.
■ An agreement to allocate $35,000 for Web and database upgrades.
Jefferson PUD
Jefferson County Public Utility District commissioners will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday at 250 Chimacum Road, Port Hadlock.
Jefferson Healthcare
Jefferson Healthcare commissioners will hear an administrator’s update at a meeting Wednesday.
The meeting begins at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the hospital auditorium, 834 Sheridan St., Port Townsend.
Fort Worden
The Fort Worden Public Development Authority Coordinating Committee will conduct a review of the master plan lease between the authority and Washington State Parks at a meeting Wednesday.
The meeting takes place from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Fort Worden Commons.
