EYE ON JEFFERSON: County to consider comprehensive plan amendments

The three Jefferson County commissioners will hear recommendations from the planning commission regarding amendments to the 2020 comprehensive plan when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.

Commissioners will hear an update on COVID-19 from Dr. Tom Locke and continue discussion regarding the process for designating the county’s associate development organization.

Items on the consent agenda include several lodging tax grants, the application for a grant to fund the mental health navigator program at the sheriff’s office and funding for several programs for the homeless.

The Washington State Association of Counties will discuss current and emerging issues facing counties across the state when they meet at noon Monday.

Both Clallam and Jefferson counties will participate.
