EYE ON JEFFERSON: County considers comprehensive plan amendments

The three Jefferson County commissioners will consider four amendments to the comprehensive plan when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.

Commissioners will hear updates on COVID-19 from Dr. Tom Locke, on county operations during the COVID-19 pandemic from County Administrator Philip Morley and Mark McCauley, central services director, and on staffing the county extension from Morley and Extension Director Cliff Moore.

Items on the consent agenda include setting a May 17 hearing on the lease of land on the Jefferson County Fairgrounds for a cellular communications tower.

Conservation Futures

The Jefferson County Conservation Futures Citizen Oversight Committee will review the 2021 projects during a special meeting at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Projects include Big Quilcene/Moon Valley acquisitions, Camp Discovery Bay acquisition, Hannan Farm, Quimper Wildlife corridor and Schmidt Farm.

Port of Port Townsend commissioners will hear a review of the 2021 legislative session from Insight Strategic Partners during a regular business meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
