The three Clallam County commissioners will hear a briefing on the Carlsborg sewer project Monday.
The work session will begin at 9 a.m. in the commissioners’ boardroom (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
Other discussion items include interim zoning controls for recreational marijuana businesses and a recently adopted ordinance regarding the Opportunity Fund.
Commissioners will hold their regular business meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
At the beginning of that meeting, retiring Clallam County Undersheriff Ron Peregrin will be recognized for his eight years as undersheriff and 48 years in public service.
Agenda items for the business meeting include:
â– A bid opening for the Elwha River Interpretive Gateway Center.
â– A contract with the state Health Care Authority for billing Medicaid Administrative Claiming Activities.
â– An agreement with the Clallam Conservation District for renewable resource conservation activities.
â– A project agreement with Olympic National Park and the Western Federal Lands Highway Division for the Spruce Railroad Trail project.
â– An agreement with the state Military Department Emergency Management Division adding $3,182.
â– An agreement with the city of Sequim for prisoner confinement services.
â– A contract amendment with the city of Port Angeles for prisoner confinement services.
â– A resolution certifying county capitalized asset inventory as of last Dec. 31.
â– A resolution calling for a March 17 hearing on the proposed surplus of four forfeited vehicles.
Sequim City Council
The Sequim City Council will consider approval of a parks and recreation plan after a public hearing Monday.
The council will meet at 6 p.m. at the Sequim Transit Center, 190 W. Cedar St.
The council also will consider selecting a search for a new city manager; approving a $460,000 contract with Facilitec of Seattle for furniture, fixtures and equipment for the new civic center; and awarding a $98,265 contract with Evergreen Framers of Sequim for a vacuum truck garage.
Forks City Council
The Forks City Council will consider a public defenders agreement when it meets Monday.
The council will meet at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, 500 E. Division St.
The council also will discuss a Fourth of July concession stand project.
Clallam Transit
The Clallam Transit board will consider an update to a complimentary bus pass coupon program Monday.
The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. at the Clallam Transit System building at 830 W. Lauridsen Blvd.
Other agenda items include an amended agreement with Olympic Community Action Programs, commendation to retired transit operator Harry Hebert, recognition of retiring administrative services assistant Alyeen Carlson and commendation to outgoing board chairman Jim McEntire.
Clallam PUD
Clallam County Public Utility District commissioners will consider authorizing the disposal of surplus property Monday.
The meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the boardroom of the Port Angeles main office, 2431 E. U.S. Highway 101.
Other agenda items include a resolution establishing the district’s current electric regulations and requirements, a staff presentation for the transfer of facilities to Jefferson County PUD, contractor pre-qualifications for inclusion on the small-works roster, contractor change orders, staff reports and customary business.
Olympic Medical Center
Olympic Medical Center commissioners will hold their quarterly educational retreat Tuesday.
The retreat will begin at 8 p.m. in the sunroom at Olympic Medical Center, 939 Caroline St., Port Angeles.
No formal action will be taken.
PA lodging tax panel
The Port Angeles Lodging Tax Advisory Committee will consider event grant applications for 2015 lodging tax allocations when it meets Wednesday.
The meeting will be from 10 a.m. to noon in City Council chambers at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth Street.
Port of Port Angeles
Port of Port Angeles commissioners will consider submitting formal comments on a proposal by the Navy to build a dock for submarine-escort vessels at Coast Guard Air Station/Sector Field Office Port Angeles on Ediz Hook when they meet Tuesday.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in the public meeting room at the port administrative building, 338 W. First St., Port Angeles.
Commissioners will consider options for commenting on the Navy proposal as part of the national environmental review process.
Commissioners also will discuss approving a professional services agreement of up to $190,000 with Carletti Architects of Mount Vernon to complete the design and bid documents for the interior of a 25,000-square-foot building for a composites recycling technology center north of William R. Fairchild International Airport.
Library system
The North Olympic Library System board will consider revisions of circulation policies when it meets Thursday.
The board will meet at 5:30 p.m. at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.
Circulation policies under consideration concern library cards and borrowing privileges and responsibilities.
The library system oversees public libraries in Port Angeles, Sequim, Forks and Clallam Bay.
