‘Spiritual cowgirl’ rides into town
PORT ANGELES — Country singer Jessica Lynne of Seattle will bring her band, the Cousins, over for a show at the Metta Room, 132 E. Front St., this Saturday night.

Electric, Celtic
BLYN — Geoffrey Castle, the electric-violin showman who’s come out to Sequim and Port Angeles on many an occasion, will do a pre-St. Patrick’s Day concert at 7 Cedars Casino tonight.
Castle’s All Star Band plus the Seattle Irish Dance Company will unleash their Celtic and traditional Irish songs at 9 p.m.; there’s no cover charge at the casino, 270756 U.S. Highway 101.

St. Paddy’s party
PORT ANGELES — Lobo Del Mar, the family band now based in Port Hadlock, is headed to downtown Port Angeles for a St. Patrick’s Day concert this Tuesday night. The Celtic music, Irish step dancing and bagpiping will fill the Metta Room, 132 E. Front St., from 7 p.m. till 9 p.m.
Admission is $2 for adults and teens, and free for children 12 and younger.

Two appearances
Ventriloquist and comedienne Lynn Trefzger is coming to the North Olympic Peninsula for two dates next week: Thursday, March 19, in Port Angeles and Friday, March 20, in Port Ludlow.
Trefzger, an entertainer on the Disney, Crystal and Norwegian cruise lines and at the Bahamas’ Atlantis resort, travels with a trunk full of characters. They include Camelot the Camel, who seeks out ladies he can flirt with; Judd, the old man who offers advice on relationships; and Emily, the college drama queen who always has something major going on in her life.
These and other irreverent types are expected to escape inside the Little Theater at Peninsula College, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., in Trefzger’s 7:30 p.m. show Thursday.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 children age 14 and younger via the Juan de Fuca Foundation website, JFFA.org, and at Port Book and News in Port Angeles and the Joyful Noise Music Center in Sequim.
Then next Friday night, Trefzger and company will arrive at the Bay Club, 120 Spinnaker Place, Port Ludlow, for a 7:30 p.m. cabaret-style performance.

Kids’ theater week
SEQUIM — Youngsters age 8 to 18 are invited to sign up now for a children’s theater workshop at Olympic Theatre Arts, 414 N. Sequim Ave., with director Bonne Smith and actors Lee Harwell and Danny Willis.
The workshop, with sessions from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 30-April 3, will focus on stage presence: voice projection, breathing techniques, movement, stage fighting and other skills.
The fee is $150 for the week or $120 for Olympic Theatre Arts members,including lunch ad snacks.
