PORT ANGELES — Access to the Clallam County Permit Center is now available online.
Anyone with an Internet connection can check the status of a building, septic, land-use or road approach and drainage permit going back to 1987.
County Community Development Director Sheila Roark Miller announced the service went live Sunday.
A link to the service is posted at www.clallam.net.
Many newer permits have documents electronically attached in the software, such as Hearing Examiner decisions and professional reports, Roark Miller said.
Links are built into the online permit center for public access to county zoning and critical areas maps, assessor records and recording documents such as survey maps.
“As resources allow, related documents will continue to be scanned into our permit software for online ease and access of our customers, with additional capabilities implemented over time,” Roark Miller said in a Friday news release.
County commissioners were briefed on the upgrade last month.
