Center for Entrepreneurship receives $250K grant

PORT ANGELES — The Center for Inclusive Entrepreneurship serving Clallam and Jefferson counties is one of 19 organizations to receive $39.8 million in financial support from the state Department of Commerce, the agency announced.

CIE was awarded $250,000 on Friday through the Community Reinvestment Project, a Department of Commerce program that partners with organizations to support economic development, reentry services, legal assistance and violence prevention in communities impacted by drugs and addiction.

The CIE assists individuals in rural communities by providing the tools and resources they needed to start and grow small businesses, and build and secure assets.
