Botanical artist to talk technique today at Sequim Arts meeting

SEQUIM — Sequim Arts, a nonprofit group promoting local artists, will have botanical illustrator and watercolorist Iris Edey as its guest presenter at 9:30 a.m. today.
Edey will discuss her techniques during the Sequim Arts monthly meeting at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church’s parish hall, 525 N. Fifth Ave.
Free gathering
Everyone is welcome at the free gathering.
After refreshments and a short business meeting, attendees will meet Edey, a British-born artist who has lived in Sequim for 24 years.
Her 361-page book, Iris Edey Sketches, will be available from the artist, who trained herself in botanical illustration and watercolor painting after working as a couture dressmaker.
