Poetry reading live-stream, seed exchange happening this weekend

A live-streamed poetry reading and a seed exchange are among Friday’s activities on the North Olympic Peninsula.

PORT TOWNSEND

Poetry reading

PORT TOWNSEND — Petra Kuppers’ “Gut Botany charts my body/language living on indigenous land as a white settler and traveler” will be live-streamed from 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. Saturday.

Kuppers’ poetry reading and participatory performance is part of Goddard College’s Master of Fine Arts in interdisciplinary arts program in the chapel at Fort Worden, 200 Battery Way.

Kuppers’ work includes the poetry collection “PearlStitch” and the story collection “Ice Bar”

Singer-songwriter

PORT TOWNSEND — Havilah Rand will perform from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

The concert will be at Rainshadow Recording, building 315 at Fort Worden.

Havilah writes and performs country-rock and Americana.

The Bellingham-based artist will be joined by songwriter David Starr.

Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased at havilah.brownpapertickets.com.

Seed exchange

PORT HADLOCK — The ninth Plant and Seed Exchange will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

The annual exchange will be at Global Earth Repair, 10644 Rhody Drive.

Admission will be by donation.
