Orca lecture scheduled at Fort Flagler

MARROWSTONE ISLAND — Brad Hanson will present “Southern Resident Orcas” at 6 p.m. Saturday in the Fort Flagler Hospital, 10541 Flagler Road.

Hanson, an ecologist with the Northwest Fisheries Science Center, is studying foraging and habitat use of southern resident orcas and assessing the health of harbor and Dall’s porpoises.

Hanson’s lecture is sponsored by the Friends of Fort Flagler.
