PORT ANGELES — Advent Penitential services are set for this weekend in Port Angeles and Sequim.

Services for the fourth Sunday of Advent are set for 9 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 209 W. 11th St., Port Angeles; at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, at St. Joseph Parish, 121 E. Maple St., Sequim; at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, at St. Anne Parish, 511 Fifth Ave., Forks; and at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, at St. Thomas the Apostle Mission, 52 Pioneer St., Clallam Bay.

The Lay Carmelites will lead the Liturgy of the Hours at both Queen of Angels and St. Joseph parishes before masses during Advent. The rosary begins 40 minutes before mass and the liturgy begins 20 minutes later.

Christmas Masses are scheduled for 10 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, and 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 25, at Queen of Angels; 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, and 11:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 25, at St. Joseph Parish; 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, and 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 25, at St. Anne Parish, 511 Fifth Ave., Forks; and at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, at St. Thomas the Apostle Mission.
