LETTER:Protecting the vulnerable

Face coverings will still be required in health care settings after the emergency order is rescinded in order to protect people like me, who cannot go to crowded public spaces because our underlying health conditions make us extremely vulnerable to death by COVID-19.

We cannot avoid going to health care settings in order to receive necessary medical care.

We appreciate the huge sacrifice of pride you are making by wearing a mask to protect us while we are getting the medical care we need in order to keep making the valuable contributions that we make to our families and communities.

Thank you for showing your love for your neighbors by continuing to wear a mask that covers both your nose and your mouth in healthcare settings.
