LETTER:Murray’s debt

When our senator, Patti Murray, first took office in 1993, the national debt was $4.2 trillion.

My share of the national debt was $16,450.

Today, that national debt is almost $30.9 trillion.

That means my share of the national debt is $245,191.

My wife’s share is $245,191.

Each of my children’s and grandchildren’s share is $245,191.

This cannot continue.

The federal government is collecting record income but going further in debt each day.

This has to stop.

Senator Murray is unwilling or unable to control spending.

We have to have a change.
