LETTER:Help appreciated

Until we need them we have no idea how lucky we are in our emergency response teams and the people of Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County.

I needed help several times when my husband fell and we couldn’t get him back up and when his dementia took over and he was determined to go somewhere.

Every time the police, fire and Olympic Ambulance people who responded were kind, patient, and inventive.

It sometimes took hours to get him safely back to bed and sedated but they were never impatient or hurried.

Volunteer Hospice was there whenever I needed them, providing support for me and care for my husband.

They too were kind, patient and inventive.

There is no way he could have stayed home without their help.

Thank you all.
