“Climate change” is a complex issue not fully addressed in 250 words or less.
However, common sense asks a) “who are these humans who believe they can change mother nature; and b) how can even noticeable change be accomplished by rules and regulations.
The Union of Concerned Scientists, in a report dated August 2020, said that China contributes 28 percent of the world’s greenhouse gases, while the U. S. produces 15 percent.
The American Action Forum estimates that the Green New Deal would cost as much as $93 trillion.
There are world leaders and multi millionaire elites who travel in private gas-guzzling personal aircraft to events such as the annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland to meet other like-minded folks and pontificate about “climate change.”
“Do as I say, not as I do” elites.
This year (1/25-21) Davos was held virtually due to the global pandemic. Being virtual saved tons of carbon since participants didn’t fly in on personal aircraft as in past years.
John Kerry’s Gulfstream GIV-SP aircraft accumulated 116 metric tons of carbon between trips from 2/9/20 – 1/10/21 (FOX News & data from flight tracking data firm FlightAware 1/30/21).
Many of their “drop dead dates” threatening “the earth is only a few years from ending” are many years in the past. So why aren’t these climate scientists a little less vociferous? There is a limit to how many times the sky falls.
Perhaps a little bit of common sense is in order.
