In 2018 we paid $3.01 per $1,000 of assessed value to support our schools with an Educational Programs and Operations Levy.
The proposed cost of the new school capital levy plus the Educational Programs and Operations Levy is $4.12 per $1,000.
Three of our five schools will be rated by the state as “poor condition” within four years.
Surely us property owners can afford $1.11 per $1,000 more to get safe and adequate schools for our children.
Our parents did it for us.
