LETTER: Support Kuh, Gibson on Sequim School Board

I write this letter to urge you to vote for two outstanding candidates for Sequim School Board director: Brandino Gibson, running for director at-large, and Brian Kuh, running for District 2 director.

Individually and together, they have the background, experience, energy and vision that, when added to the other three directors, is exactly what Sequim schools, its students and the community need.

Brandino is currently a supervisor at Clallam and Jefferson County WorkSource, giving him a perspective, expertise and insights into the educational needs of students and communities on the entire Peninsula.

Brandino has served as vice president of Citizens for Sequim schools and in that capacity held many listening sessions with groups and individuals — both in agreement and disagreement with Brandino’s positions — gathering valuable input from Sequim citizens, according to the organization’s website.

Brian is the executive director of the Economic Development Corp. team in Jefferson County and previously worked with the Clallam County Economic Development Corp.

Brian has a unique perspective and the expertise of the needs of students and communities on the Peninsula and in Sequim.

He is networked to people and organizations in Sequim, on the Peninsula and in the state.

Brian’s constant positive attitude makes him an extraordinary leadership voice.

Brandino Gibson and Brian Kuh are best qualified by expertise, experience, energy, enthusiasm and temperament to advocate for schools in proactive and positive ways.

Both will strive to make education second to none for each and every student in Sequim schools.

Larry Jeffryes,

Sequim
