LETTER: Sportsmen Association an asset to Jefferson County

The Jefferson County Sportsmen’s Association is an asset to the county. The many users of the facility contribute significantly to the local economy.

JCSA brings tourists from the state and some events bring tourists from around the nation.

The park-like grounds are maintained by volunteers and cost the county nothing.

Its education programs include hunter safety, archery and home safety and a place for law enforcement officers training.

JCSA has a sterling record of safety.

There are many anti-gun factions present and will be active and heard.

I hope the decision makers at the county commissioner level will consider all the real benefits to the community in its present use to the supposed impact of the anti.
