Peninsula Daily News Wednesday columnist Pat Neal is one of a kind.
He tells it like it is and is mostly right about the way our fish and wildlife are managed in this state.
I worked for what was the state Department of Fisheries and is now Department of Fish and Wildlife for 27 years.
I started in 1971.
Management was done by the Fish and Wildlife people, not government bureaucrats, and special interests, environmentalists, the courts and so-called save-the-fish-and-game organizations whose only interest is to obtain money through grants, etc., to push their agenda.
Anyone who wants to see what real fish and wildlife management is should subscribe to Wyoming Wildlife magazine.
It’s an excellent publication.
Pat’s sense of humor is rare these days, with the politically correct crowd who thinks humor and laughing at ourselves is taboo.
Those who cry out that certain individuals should be banned from the newspaper, etc., don’t support our free speech freedoms.
No one forces them to read it.
Thank you, Peninsula Daily News, for not being biased in your coverage and the columnists you publish.
We get enough biased news from our mainstream media.
By having all sides of a story, people can make more informed decisions.
That’s rare these days.
The one-shoe-fits-all attitude never works.
