For Trump
OK, I’ll be the first to admit that Donald J. Trump wasn’t my first choice for president of the U.S.
(Dr. Ben Carson was my ideal, but he didn’t make it.)
So I have to take what is available, and I’ll tell you why.
My biggest concern is appointments to the U.S. Supreme Court.
There is already one vacancy, and during the next four years, due to some justices’ advanced ages, there could very well be two, three or even four replacements, and since appointments to the court are for life, that is going to affect the lives of my kids, my grandkids and even my great-grandkids.
Can you imagine the effect if the Second Amendment to the Constitution were overthrown and we (they) would have no protection against the common criminals who would have no problem arming themselves?
How about our chances of ridding ourselves of “Obamacare,” Planned Parenthood, climate change and the other maladies that currently affect our lives?
In short, even If I hated “The Donald” (which I don’t), I would vote for him to prevent the “other side” from stacking the court with its appointments.
There, I’ve got that off my chest, and I feel better already.
