LETTER: Electing Van Hoover a rare opportunity

Our Jefferson Heathcare commissioners will be presented with staff reports and will need to make decisions based on those reports.

Someone who has experience in hospital and health care management, like Cheri Van Hoover, has the background necessary to be able to critique those reports and ask the right questions that will lead to decision-making best for our public hospital.

One who does not may rely too much on the staff reporters telling them all they think they need to know and vote accordingly.

In Cheri, we have the rare opportunity to elect a candidate who has the breadth of experience that will lead to good, sound decision-making.

In addition, she also has collaborative skills to assist the hospital commission board to work better together as a top-notch team.

And these skills are sorely needed in these times.

Diane Jones,
