LETTER: A message to those not wearing a mask

To all those not wanting to wear a mask to help control the spreading of the unique coronavirus, this message is for you.

My grandparents’ generation was the greatest and pulled together to defeat a common enemy.

Imagine if you will, they had said I don’t feel like growing a Victory Garden, or I don’t feel like turning off my lights at night or will not use blackout curtains endangering my whole community to a potential bombing raid by Japan or Germany.

If their generation saw the common good of doing those things to defeat an enemy, why do they not see wearing a mask now is the same patriotic actions?

Which relative are you willing to allow to die because you refused to wear a mask and spread the disease?
