We should open all businesses today.
We can put in place precautions at the vulnerable locations and quarantine or isolate any hot spots.
The president was correct in shutting things down at first when we did not know the severity of the disease.
Now that we know much more about it, killing our economy and our society is the real threat.
What have we learned about COVID-19?
First, it is more dangerous to older citizens and those with pre-existing conditions because they are usually medically weaker.
Next, it is not unlike other forms of viruses in how to kill it and that is by letting it die off through herd immunity.
Thus, quarantining the entire population, the wearing of masks and incorporating social distancing extends the time it takes to eliminate the disease in this country.
The excuse for doing these preventive measures was originally due to a fear of overloading our hospitals.
That never happened.
Fear today is the driving force damaging our country.
A segment of our society, who are benefiting either monetarily or politically, are using the fear of this epidemic for their own gain.
Remove the stay at home order and restart our country now.
Stop the increase in suicides and abuse that the stay at home orders have caused.
Reopen the factories and businesses and give millions back their income.
Fight this disease like we should by killing off the virus through herd immunity.
This is a case of the cure is worse than the disease.
