Winterfest dinner, auctions on Saturday

PORT ANGELES — Winterfest, the Hurricane Ridge Winter Sports Club’s annual fundraiser to support winter sports education at Hurricane Ridge, will be Saturday at the Vern Burton Community Center.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. at the center at 308 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.

Festivities will begin at 6 p.m.

Tickets are $75 in advance and $90 at the door. A community table for eight is $600. A community table for 10 is $750.

Proceeds from the evening will fund youth ski and snowboard programs, educational and medical training for the volunteer Ski Patrol as well as capital improvements to the ski area.

This year’s Winterfest will feature Country Aire appetizers, an oyster bar, dinner by Kokopelli Grill, mini bundt cakes from Pies, Cakes and More and Fogtown Coffee tea and coffee service as well as a live auction sponsored by Miller Construction and a silent auction sponsored by Pacific Office Equipment.

Live music will be provided by BBR.

A First Fed $1,500 cash raffle and other prizes are planned.
