Author to speak at Peninsula College’s Port Townsend campus

PORT TOWNSEND — British Columbia-based author John Vaillant will speak at 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Vaillant’s presentation is at the Port Townsend campus of Peninsula College, 202 Eisenhower Ave.

Vaillant will share insights and his experiences as an author.

The nature writer is the author of “The Golden Spruce” and “The Tiger: A True Story of Vengeance and Survival.”

Vaillant’s most recent book, “Fire Weather: The Making of a Beast,” is about the 2016 Fort McMurray wildfire in Alberta.

Copies of Vaillant’s books will be available for purchase at the event.
