Virtual three-day Home & Kitchen Tour begins Friday

PORT TOWNSEND — The 24th annual Home & Kitchen Tour begins Friday and extends through Sunday.

It’s all virtual, so pass-holders can visit multiple times during the three-day tour and navigate in a 3D environment.

Passes for the general public are $30 for the tour. Registration is at

The Home & Kitchen Tour is organized annually by the Port Townsend branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and the AAUW/University Women’s Foundation of Jefferson County (UWF).

This year’s tour will explore homes, condos, an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) and boats, as well as offer interviews with homeowners and designers and seminars provided by local experts.

It also will include a workshop on how to build an ADU, a tour of a Habitat for Humanity home and information about housing services provided by such agencies as Olympic Community Action Programs (OlyCAP).

The fundraiser supports projects for equity for women and girls, including educational scholarships. The nonprofit also funds Tech Trek STEM summer camp, school tutoring projects, math/STEM and kindergarten literacy and housing equity for women.

More information is available at the AAUW PT website and [email protected].

Preceding the tour will be a live Community Build project meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Elks Club, 555 Otto St. and broadcast by Zoom. The speaker will be Judy Alexander, AAUW 2021 Woman of Excellence. The Zoom meeting is at #success.
