Port Townsend wrapping up gifts, gingerbread contest

PORT TOWNSEND — Locally-purchased gifts can be wrapped for the holidays between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. today at Tyler Street Plaza.

High school students from Port Townsend’s Kiwanis Key Club and Rotary Interact Club will wrap the gifts while the Kiwanis Choo Choo rolls through town,

Also in Port Townsend, beginning Monday, visitors can vote for the People’s Choice award winner in the Uptown Gingerbread Contest.

Sunday is the final day for entries into the contest at the Port Townsend Public Library, 1220 Lawrence St.

Judging will take place Monday through Dec. 19. Artist Max Grover will be the judge in the other four categories.

Winners, who will receive gift certificates, will be announced Dec. 22.
