Port Angeles Kiwanis Kids Fest to be held Saturday

PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles Kiwanis will host the 35th Kids Fest from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

The free community festival is at the Vern Burton Center, 308 E. Fourth St.

Indoor exhibitors include The Answer For Youth, Anime Kat, PenCom 911, Clallam County Public Utility District #1, the Olympic Peninsula Fly Fishers, Peninsula College, Clallam Mosaic, the North Olympic Library System, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church’s preschool, SquatchCon, Olympic Medical Center, Curious Critters Child Care and Lutheran Community Services NW.

In addition to the plethora of activities inside the center, Clallam County Emergency Management will host Community Safety Day on Fourth Street, outside the center.

The street will be closed for static displays from the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office, the sheriff’s Marine Division, Port Angeles Fire Department, Clallam County Fire District #2 and Olympic Ambulance.

The Port Angeles School District will have a bus on display as will Clallam Transit.

Clallam Bay Correction Center will bring its portable jail cell display, Clallam County Public Utility District #1 will have a display and a coloring table will be run by Clallam County Emergency Management.

Additionally, First Step Family Support Center will provide car seat checks in the courthouse parking lot; interested parents should sign up at https://forms.gle/Xi6YD6dkP8XNf67RA.
