Peninsula Men’s Gospel Singers to host free Christmas singalong

PORT ANGELES — The Peninsula Men’s Gospel Singers will perform Christmas carols on Friday.

The free program, which will begin at 7 p.m., will be at First Presbyterian Church, 139 W. Eighth St.

Donations will be accepted.

The program will include an arrangement of the Nutcracker Suite, several well-known carols for everyone to sing, and some original music that captures the wonder of the Savior’s birth.

The concert will end with all participants having an opportunity to join professional soloists Eric Schneider and Dan Cobb, two members of the gospel singers, in a singalong version of “O Holy Night.”

The Peninsula Men’s Gospel Singers have been performing on the Olympic Peninsula for more than 20 years.

“I am grateful for how dedicated my singers and accompanist Penny Hall are to pursuing musical excellence with me,” founding director Michael Rivers said. “We try our best. And we hope our listeners are more than entertained.”
