Peninsula libraries to match readers with books

Librarians at public libraries throughout Clallam County will help connect readers with books they will enjoy.

BookMatch is a service that helps connect readers with books suited to their individual preferences and tastes.

Offered at all North Olympic Library System locations — Port Angeles, Sequim, Forks and Clallam Bay — BookMatch will provide customized reading lists that are built on information patrons provide about their reading histories and interests.

To get started, visit www.nols.org/services/bookmatch.html and complete the online form.

The amount of information submitted is up to the individual; the more provided, the more closely staff can match patrons with books in the library catalog.

Once a patron submits a request, staff will take a few days to create a list customized just for that person and send it to the person in an email.

Librarians will create additional lists for those who want more suggestions, or will offer real-time suggestions during visits to the library.

The service is available to library cardholders throughout Clallam County.
